We’re absolutely chuffed that our team has won the Kapiti Centre Bowls3Five title In a tie break end against Levin, lead Mike Simeonoff drew a toucher which they managed to protect. Well done Mike and the Nicholsons, Trudy and Rob.

Great support from club members – thanks from the winning team for that. Trudy commented on Facebook – Rob, Mike & myself want to thank all the Raumati members who came & watched us play in this competition – it was heart warming & made us more determined to not let our club down.

Second was Edgar Blanche, Leighton Wilding and Sue Critchlow of Silverstream BC while a host combination- Gerry Welply, John McBeth and Heather Simpson- was third.

Mixed Fours 2021

There were some nailbiting finishes to some post section games in the Mixed Fours Championships.
One match went to an extra end and two of the three games saw the teams which had a score advantage entering the final end, lose.

Another Success for Chris Macdonald

Chris Macdonald has won his second club singles title of the season. He followed up his impressive win in the Open Singles by beating Laurie Flynn in today’s final of the Junior Singles. It’s been a successful season for Chris with those two wins, plus runner-up places in the Triples, Fours and Mixed Fours.

There was unexpected but deserved success for our club champion Men’s Triples combination at the weekend.

Skipped by Neal Pritchard with Reg Goston at two and club President John McBeth leading, they won the Bowls Kapiti Centre Champion of Champions title.
