Testimonial

Early this year, when I got a flyer about Community Bowls at the Kapiti Bowling Club, I decided to give lawn bowls a try. I had never played the game before.

It did’t take long for me to become hooked! One of the main reasons for this is the warm welcome that I received from all club members. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. Members have gone out of their way to make me feel part of the club and to help me with my bowling. Without fail, people have been encouraging, understanding and patient.

I have also received excellent coaching from qualified coaches who couldn’t be more helpful or more generous with their time. All in all the whole experience to date has been positive – and fun. I have played sport all my life and never have I been made more welcome at a club. Although my bowling is definitely a ”work in progress”, I can’t wait to see what my bowling future will bring.
