Magnificent Weekend Expected
It’s a massive weekend for the club.
Starting tomorrow, our magnificent women’s team which won the Kapiti Centre interclub event, will be competing in the National Playoffs. This is an important event on the Bowls NZ calendar and the team has been preparing solidly. Sadly, Lyndsay Osborne has been forced to withdraw, but Pat Taylor has stepped into the gap.
The Four will play at Silverstream on day one and the Singles and Pair at Stokes Valley. On Saturday they all move to Naenae.
Their opponents on the first day are North East Valley, Thames Valley and Paritutu. Games on Friday begin at 0830, 1130 and 2.30.
The President will be commentating on Saturday and Sunday, so hopefully he might get to talk about the players in blue!
Meanwhile we will be represented by six teams in the Kapiti Centre Junior 2 x 4 x 2 championships which we are hosting. That’s an amazing representation. Play begins at 0900 on Saturday.
