World champion bowler, Mike Kernaghan, visited the club last week. He was invited primarily to chat to members about the need for care in the sun in his role as chief executive of the Cancer Society, but he also chatted about his bowls highlights and offered some sound ideas about making the sport attractive to younger people. Naturally the highlight of the day for Mike was being presented with one of our hats!
