Womens Singles Championship 2021 Winner Jane Bradbury and runnerup was Sue McFarlane
Wow, what a day of singles! In the women’s, Sue McFarlane beat Kathy Roe in one semi final, while Jane Bradbury accounted for Pat Taylor. Both matches went to the wire. Jane carried on to win a tense final.
The final of the Mixed Fours championship produced something of an upset.
We’re absolutely chuffed that our team has won the Kapiti Centre Bowls3Five title In a tie break end against Levin, lead Mike Simeonoff drew a toucher which they managed to protect. Well done Mike and the Nicholsons, Trudy and Rob.
There’s no doubt summer is approaching and the new bowls season is well under way.
There were some nailbiting finishes to some post section games in the Mixed Fours Championships.
One match went to an extra end and two of the three games saw the teams which had a score advantage entering the final end, lose.
