Congratulations to Trudy Nicholson’s four who have won the club title for 2019-20. The competition had been postponed because of Covid-19 lockdown but the gentle winter conditions proved ideal for a late completion of the event.

Two superstars of New Zealand Bowls accepted an invitation to impart some of their extensive knowledge to our players recently. Two-times World Champion, Gary Lawson, was joined by National Male Player of the Year, Lance Pascoe.
In the singles it was a case of the determination and skill of experienced player Ted Marshall just giving him the edge over Mike Harvey. It was a thrilling match during which neither player could gain any ascendancy. There were just two points separating them at the end. Congratulations Ted.
