The final of the Mixed Fours championship produced something of an upset.
The favoured combination of Michelle and Chris Macdonald, Graeme Corlett and national Mixed Pairs champion Lisa White found themselves on the receiving end of some wonderful play by their opponents- Karen Simeonoff, Trina Kirikiri, Michael Hunter and Mike Simeonoff.
That of course is the nature of sport, but it was still a surprise that the game got out of the reach of Lisa’s team who conceded with two ends to play.
There was much admiration for the determination and unflappable attitude of the winning team and Lisa was full of praise for the way they played.
