VC Cup 2019
All the players at the VC Cup were unanimous in their positive response to this year’s VC Cup event. The weather was perfect and the club looked fantastic with the two greens fully occupied and bustling with activity. Again unfortunately it wasn’t a local team which won the Cup. The best results were produced by the Harry Shawcross- skipped team whose only loss was to the eventual winners.
Keith Elliott’s son Peter returned from New Plymouth in time to present the cup which his father had donated 33 years ago.
Stunning spring weather and a full green of 128 for both days.
Our club volunteers did a marvellous job throughout and the tournament flowed superbly
