The Junior Women’s Singles, which was unfortunately played in windy conditions. First year player, Sue Veart, seemed to struggle in the early ends but then fought back to put pressure on Kathy Edney- Meechen (also a first year player) before Kathy scored the win. Our Junior players were to the fore in the five club championships which were decided at the weekend.
Three of them won titles with Ron Olivecrona getting his hands on two trophies- the Men’s Triples and the Mixed Fours. Sue Veart was lead for Audrey and Rochelle Stevenson in the Women’s Triples, while Laurie Flynn played alongside his mate Ron Olivecrona in the triples.
