News from the Green
Our players will be very active over the next few days. If you’re not involved you might like to watch and support.
On Saturday at the club 20 teams will contest qualifying in the Men’s Pairs championship. Play will start at 0830. Ted Marshall and Bill Ward are the defending champions.
At Waitarere Beach and Levin clubs, the Centre Women’s Triples are being played from Saturday through to Monday. We have four teams entered. Those skipped by Marie Yaxley and Ronnie Crone will be at Levin. Audrey Stevenson and Pat Taylor’s teams are at Waitarere Beach.
The final of the club Mixed Pairs featuring Lisa White/ Neal Pritchard and Ronnie Crone/Allen Hutchison has been scheduled for 1100 next Wednesday the 19th. Pop in to either of our cafe sponsors Vintage Village or Infinite, grab a coffee and scone and bring it to the club!
Finally, the club has accepted an offer to host the Kapiti opening round for a new national competition- the Year 1-8 SUPERSINGLES. This will be played on Tuesday 22 November from 5.30pm. Find out more at the website ssbowls.co.nz
