A fast improver and a delightful draw bowler- first year player Phil Walker reached the final of the Junior Singles. It was the climax to a beaut day of Novice and Junior semis and finals.

Laurie Flynn drew on all his 4 years’ experience to beat Phil and take the title. On the way, Laurie toppled the defending champion Chris Macdonald in a nail-biting semi final, 21- 20, while Phil defeated Allen Hutchison.

Winners Mixed Fours 2020 This good looking group won the 2020 Mixed Fours Championship on September 20th. Team members were Mike Harvey(S), Sue McFarlane, John McBeth and Patricia Swanepole. Interesting that the team included both the Club President and Secretary.

The men’s junior pairs was taken out by Allen Hutchinson and Mike Hunter (S) who defeated Laurie Flynn and Ron Olivecrona (S). All four are in their first seasons. Quite an achievement for those that have also featured in other championships finals.. Well done chaps
