Everyone needed a strong drink after the championship Men’s Triples! On post section day, a last end shot took Bob Darragh through to one semi. In another tight game, skip Roger Mathews trailed the jack into the ditch to snatch another spot, while Mike Harvey beat Ted Marshall on the last end of their cliffhanger. In the semis Darragh lost to Neal Pritchard and Harvey beat Mathews. Pritchard, with Reg Goston and John McBeth eventually won a close, tense final against Harvey, Graeme White and Chris MacDonald.
