Junior Mens Singles 2020-21

Two very good friends fought out the final of the Junior Men’s Singles at the weekend.Laurie Flynn (left) and Ron Olivecrona play golf together and joined the Raumati Bowling Club just under a year ago.The two emerged from a field of 12- all but four of whom are first year players- to meet in the final.Ron scorched away to a 15-6 lead which surprised even himself, but saw that evaporate as Laurie closed the gap. The final score was 21-18 to Ron.Congratulations to all the participants. There was some fantastic bowls on display.
