Fourteen teams entered a very competitive qualifying series with some of the pre-tournament favoured combinations being knocked out.

Womens Singles Championship 2021 Winner Jane Bradbury and runnerup was Sue McFarlane Wow, what a day of singles! In the women’s, Sue McFarlane beat Kathy Roe in one semi final, while Jane Bradbury accounted for Pat Taylor. Both matches went to the wire. Jane carried on to win a tense final.

Men’s Triples were completed at the weekend with the winning Team being Neil Pritchard (S), Reg Goston and John McBeth. Club President John McBeth didn’t stop grinning for the rest of the day as it was his first club championship title. The Junior Women’s Singles, which was unfortunately played in windy conditions. First year player, Sue Veart, seemed to struggle in the early ends but then fought back to put pressure on Kathy Edney- Meechen (also a first year player) before Kathy scored the win. Another win for first year players. Well done,
