Franks Cup Winners 2021
The Barlow Green was full for the annual playing of the Franks Cup over Easter. This is a Mixed Pairs 2x4x2 competition and has been contested for many years. This year it was different however, as both Dorothy and Leicester Franks who donated the trophy, had passed away in the last six months. Both had been very successful members of the club and both were Presidents at various times. Before play began current President, John McBeth, talked a little about Dorothy and Leicester and read a message sent from their family who are thrilled their parents names continue to be remembered at a place where they had so much enjoyment. The winners for 2021, and the only unbeaten combination, were Trudy and Rob Nicholson.
