Congratulations to our Representative Players
Congratulations to the Raumati players who have been chosen to represent the Kapiti Centre in the matches against Wairarapa on Saturday, 24h November.
Four Raumati women have been selected in the squad of 14- Audrey and Rochelle Stevenson, Heather Simpson and Michelle Macdonald. The women play at Masterton BC.
Five of our male players are in the men’s team which will play at Greytown- David Hawken, Graeme Corlett, Chris Macdonald, Michael Hunter and Mike Simeonoff.
You will notice that Lisa White’s name is missing. Lisa instead will be representing the Aotearoa Maori team at the Oceania Challenge in Auckland from the 21st- 24th of this month. It’s a thrill for the club to be represented among the five wahine and we hope Lisa can reproduce her outstanding form of last year when she won a gold medal in the fours.
Also in Auckland for both the Oceania Challenge and the World Champion of Champion Singles, will be two of the club’s international umpires, Steve Sargent and David Burrage and your club captain, who’ll be commentating on the SKY TV coverage of both events.
ALSO- the Blue of Raumati will be evident this weekend at Waitarere Beach and PBBC in the NuLook Centre Mixed 2 x 4 x 2 Pairs. Nine Raumati combinations have entered!
Pop along and give them some encouragement if you have time.
