Centre Junior 4X2 Winners 2021
The club is buzzing with the recent success of our junior players. Not only did a Raumati team win the Centre Junior 2 x 4 x 2 Pairs, but a Raumati team was also runner up. Four teams from Raumati were among the 14 entries. Three qualified for post section play with Heather Simpson and Sue Veart losing to Kathy and Harry Meachen in the quarter finals. Kathy and Harry continued to the final where they met Ron Olivecrona and Laurie Flynn. Ron and Laurie emerged the winners.
It was a wonderful sight to see a final contested by our teams. Well done everyone. Another sign of the health of our junior programme is that 7 Raumati players have qualified for post section play in the Centre Year 1 and 2 Singles, including Harry, Ron and Laurie. Post section play is at Waikanae Beach on the weekend of the 10th and 11th April.
