The club was delighted to host the Centre Men’s Fours at the weekend. Twenty teams entered, including three from Raumati who all qualified for post section play. The most successful was the team skipped by Bob Darragh which was beaten in the semi finals by the eventual winners. Womens Junior Pairs 2021 What a close game! The final score was 14 to 12. On one end only did the score exceed 2 shots. Both teams should be proud of their composure under pressure. Well done all. Winners were Kathy Roe (S) and Naomi Johstone, Runnersup were Heather Simpson (S) and Sue Veart
Community groups, families and businesses have taken full advantage of the club’s facilities in the lead up to Christmas. The sound of laughter and the occasional “Ho Ho Ho” has resonated around the greens and in the clubrooms as people of all ages have played bowls, cooked on the BBQ and worked our bar volunteers…
Womens Singles Championship 2021 Winner Jane Bradbury and runnerup was Sue McFarlane Wow, what a day of singles! In the women’s, Sue McFarlane beat Kathy Roe in one semi final, while Jane Bradbury accounted for Pat Taylor. Both matches went to the wire. Jane carried on to win a tense final.
The annual Easter event for the Franks Cup was played in fabulous weather.

Women’s Singles winner – Pat Taylor won with Heather Simpson runner-up.
There were 5 qualifiers – Pat, Bev Lang and Jane Bradbury had first round byes. Heather Simpson defeated Sue McFarlane 21-19 then Jane Bradbury 21-18 to reach the final. Pat defeated Bev Lang to take the other finals spot. Pat’s extensive experience took her to another Singles Title – well done to all participants – a hard fought competition.
